SPORTS EVENTS Many are the sporting events on Naxos throughout the year. Local tournaments (or sometimes of nationwide interest) in football, basketball, volleyball and competitions in athletics, triathlon races, cross-country etc. On Naxos mainly by Municipal Cultural, Social and Athletic Organisation (known as NOPPAPPPA) and other associatios, are conducted (with the help of athletes, coaches and volunteers assistants and in an exemplary way) sporting events of national and international range, especially in track and field, triathlon races etc. |
